Before I list some pointers on how to revise efficiently I want to say that an examination is a test to see whether you’ve learnt the given content and NOT about memorising.
1. Find a comfortable place to study
· Make sure you have plenty of space.
· Avoid sitting around distractions, such as the television.
· Make sure the room is well lit up.
· Collect everything you need to revise before you start and keep organised.
2. Create a timetable
3. Use a variety of revision tools and see which one works best for you, such as:
· Creating diagrams.
· Mnemonics.
· Writing notes and sticking them around the house.
· Recording yourself with key facts/notes and listen back to it.
4. Go through as many past papers as you can- time yourself and keep practising
5. Get yourself a study buddy, so that you can both help and test one another
6. Keep yourself alert and take a 5 minutes break after every 45 minutes
7. Get at least 8 hours of sleeps
8. Keep hydrated and healthy
9. Attend any revision classes
10. Ask a teacher/lecturer for any extra help you may need
11. Think positive
So there you go; some tips that may help you with your revision.
Good Luck!
